Der Bench-Rest-Geschosssetzer sorgt für ein besonders genaues, verkantungsfreies Setzen der Geschosse. In einer gefederten Führungsbuchse wird die Patronenhülse in ihrer ganzen Länge geführt, bevor das Geschoss in den Hülsenhals eingedrückt wird. Durch die Aufnahme der Patronenhülse auf ihrer ganzen Länge ist eine achsiale Ausrichtung sichergestellt. Die Führung des Geschosses erfolgt in einer koaxialen Bohrung der Führungshülse. Der Geschosssetzstempel ist im Kopfteil befestigt und durch Gewinde verstellbar. Für unterschiedliche Geschossformen kann der Setzstempel ausgetauscht werden. Ein Einwürgen des Hülsenmundes (Crimp) ist nicht möglich. Die Fertigung der verwendeten Bauteile erfolgt bei Triebel überwiegend auf einer CNC-Mehrspindelmaschine. Bei Verwendung von geeigneten Munitionsbestandteilen garantieren diese Matrizen eine perfekte Konzentrizität. Die Bench Rest Setzmatrize hat das übliche Zollgewinde von 7/8" - 14 Gang.
