Das Modell 19 wird als ".357 Combat Magnum" beschrieben. Der vorgestellte Revolver wurde 1976 nach der Arbeit "The Standard Catalog of S&W" hergestellt. Es verfügt über die charakteristischen gestifteten Lauf- und Zylindereinfassungen von vor 1982 und ist in seiner 6-Zoll-Laufkonfiguration mit einem "Square-Butt" -Griff. In dieser Lauflänge sowie mit einem Abzugsende und einem großen Hammer eine Vorderseite Visier und Holz-S&W-Zieltafeln eignet sich dieser Revolver besonders gut für Präzisionsschießübungen. It features the characteristic pre-1982 pinned barrel and recessed cylinder, and is in its 6" barrel configuration, with a "square-butt" grip. In this barrel length, as well as with a large trigger & hammer, a target front sight and wooden S&W plates, this revolver is particularly good for precision shooting exercises.The weapon is in very good general and working condition.
