| Mit neuer, verbesserter Scheide! Das Outback(TM) von Down Under Knives bringt eine Vielzahl von Besonderheiten mit, die ein näheres Hinschauen in jeden Fall rechtfertigen: die aus 440C-Stahl geschmiedete Klinge, die in zwei Härtezonen (!!) aufgeteilt ist. Dadurch ist die Schneide mit 58-59 Grad Rockwellhärte sehr schnitthaltig, der Klingenrücken mit 45-46 Grad Härte flexibel und bruchunempflindlich. Das Outback(TM) ist kein Dekorationsstück, es ist für harten Einsatz geschaffen worden. Darüberhinaus bietet es auch optisch sehr viel: der Griff wird aus echtem Ebenholz, Leder und Messing gefertigt und an eine hochbelastbare Angel montiert, die auch extremen Einwirkungen standhält. Die Parierstange und der Knauf sind aus massivem, gestrahltem Messing gefertigt. Das Outback(TM) ist ein gutes Beispiel für überaus gelungenes Design und hohe Beanspruchbarkeit in der Anwendung. Diese beiden Merkmale müssen sich also nicht widersprechen. Das Outback(TM) wird in einer schweren Lederscheide geliefert. Das Material der Scheide wirkt durch eine spezielle Oberflächenprägung wie Krokodilhaut. In einer Seitentasche der Scheide ist zudem ein spezieller Wetzstahl untergebracht.
