| The Winchester Model 1897 Series E, commonly referred to as a “Trench Gun,” is a military-configured variant of John Browning’s iconic pump shotgun. Built for close-quarters combat in the early 20th century, these trench configurations were widely used during and after World War I and typically include features intended for rugged military service. This particular example was manufactured in 1926, is chambered for 12×65 (2¾") shells, and holds 5 rounds (tube magazine plus chamber). It represents an important piece of firearms history.
