| Fliegerhelm, Flak Helmet US M5 Bestehend aus einer Stahlkalotte mit weit heruntergezogenen, aufklappbaren Seitenpartien zum Schutz von Schläfen- und Ohrbereich. Diese Ausführung wurde speziell dafür entwickelt, den Tragekomfort in Kombination mit Funkkopfhörern und Sauerstoffmasken zu verbessern. Charakteristisch ist die kompaktere Bauform im Vergleich zu den Vorgängermodellen M3 und M4 sowie die verbesserte Balance durch die abgesetzten Seitenteile. Die Oberfläche zeigt die typische canvasartige Struktur („fibrous finish“), die dem Helm ein leicht textil wirkendes Aussehen verleiht. Innen ist der Helm mit Leder- und Stofffutter und verstellbarem Kinnriemen ausgestattet. Anm.: Der M5-Flakhelm wurde 1944/45 als Weiterentwicklung der M3- und M4-Modelle eingeführt und gilt als die ausgereifteste Form der amerikanischen Flakhelme des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Durch die modulare Bauweise bot er besseren Schutz bei gleichzeitig verbesserter Kompatibilität mit der Bordausrüstung von Bomberbesatzungen. Zustand 1 |
