Canon marqué : ADDRESS COL SAML COLTNEW YORK U.S. AMERICA N°35370 (+BL sous le pontet) ce qui équivaut à une fabrication de 1871 (1000 exemplaires) L’arme à anciennement été gravée de motifs floraux dans le style de Gustave Young. Colt a rapidement compris l’intérêt que cela représentait de proposer des armes de prestige. Certaines armes devinrent ainsi de véritables œuvres d'art et illustrent le talent et le savoir-faire des artisans de l'époque. Pour rehausser le prestige de son propriétaire, les plaquettes de crosse en os gravée de l’aigle américain ont été ajustée sur cette arme. Le coffret contient également : Une boîte d’amorce Eley (reproduction ancienne) Une clé à cheminée faisant également office de tournevis Un moule à balle de la marque Colt Une poire à poudre d’époque ' 1851 Navy ' 3e modèle.
