| Le Steyr MPi 69 est un pistolet mitrailleur construit par Steyr Daimler Puch. Au premier coup d'oeil, le Steyr MPi 69 rappelle l'Uzi israélien et, comme ce dernier, il s'agit d'une arme à feu à recul non verrouillé et à culasse de masse. L'arme a été développée par l'ingénieur Steyr Moser en tenant particulièrement compte des coûts de fabrication et de la sécurité de fonctionnement. La carcasse est constituée d'une pièce en acier pressé, elle-même logée dans une enveloppe en plastique moulé par injection (avec poignée-pistolet intégrée). Le canon est fabriqué selon un procédé spécial de martelage à froid. La moitié avant de la culasse fraisée entoure le canon, de sorte qu'une grande partie de sa masse est placée devant le culot. Cela permet d'obtenir une longueur de canon un peu plus importante que d'habitude, tout en conservant une longueur totale normale. La sélection du tir s'effectue en réglant le bouton de sécurité : Bouton de sécurité à droite : assuré Bouton de sûreté central : tir simple Bouton de sécurité à gauche : Feu simple ou continu (selon la pression exercée sur la détente). Pour armer, la culasse est tirée vers l'arrière avec la bretelle. L'arme a été livrée avec le chasseur de chars Steyr K comme armement de bord. Faute d'utilisation, elle a été attribuée au commandement de la chasse. L'arme tire avec une grande précision et, contrairement à l'Uzi, elle est "sûre à manipuler". www.treehuggersupply.ch |
