Seit Jahrzehnten dominiert sie zu Recht diesen Markt. Aber Ruger ruhte sich auf diesem Erfolg nicht aus, sondern bringt regelmäßig neue Versionen. Eine davon ist die Competition aus dem hauseigenen Custom Shop. Hier in der vollständig für Linkshänder ausgelegten Variante. Bei der Competition setzt Ruger auf einen Schichtholzschaft mit einstellbarer Wangenauflage. Hier sollte jeder Schütze die richtige Position finden. Das System wurde aus einem Aluminium Block CNC gefräst. Der BX Abzug hat einen knackigen Druckpunkt in Verbindung mit einem kurzen Rückstellweg. Der 16 1/8" Blull Barrel wurde kaltgeschmiedet und mit einer Mündungsbremse versehen. Alles in Allem ein handliches und präzises Sportgerät.
