| Weidmesser eidgen. Ord.1842/52 Säbel Scharfschützen Militär St. Gallen Sie bieten auf ein Weidmesser der eidgen. Ord.1842/52. Aus meiner Sicht trägt das Weidmesser einen St. Galler Schlag. Klar ersichtlich ist die Nr. 301. Hergestellt wurde das Weidmesser in Solingen durch die Firma Clemen &Jung. Das Weidmesser ist in einem, dem Alter entsprechenden, guten Zustand. Der Griff wurde hinten genietet, (fachmännisch und sicher in der Zeit, als das Weidmesser noch gebraucht wurde.) Siehe letztes Bild. "Die Weidmesser fanden, nach dem sie um 1878 von der Armee ausgeschieden worden waren, als Polizeiseitengewehr Verwendung." (Bd. 7 Bewaffnung und Ausrüstung der Schweizer Armee seit 1817 von Hugo Schneider und Jürg A. Meier). |
