| Description: |
| 9mm Largo; 75% blue, good bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, Astra supplied an estimated 6000 Model 400 pistols to the nazi military in the serial range 92,851-98,850. This pistol, SN 95172, falls in near the end of that range. Original bright blue finish and checkered wood grips. Fixed sights. Factory original magazine. The top of the slide extension is marked with Astra logo, the rear of the slide has the usual 4-line Astra address that includes the model designation. The back end of the slide has been drilled to accept a slotted screw, presumably to allow removal of the firing pin. The Eibar proofing including the M year code is marked on the left frame tang. The barrel is marked on the chamber "9M/M&38" along with the full matching serial number. Small import mark on the bottom of the frame. From the collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. Worn and thinning metal finish with handling marks and light scratches over all. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 951xx |
