| 44 RF; good bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Issued during the Civil War. Gray patina metal with pitting over all. Walnut forend and buttstock. No legible markings except for the serial numbers on top of the barrel and frame. Part octagon barrel with fixed sights. Consignor notes state this carbine is in the serial range of those used by the Kentucky Cavalry with less than 6,600 being produced. Mechanically fine, stiff hammer. Antique, s/n 64xx |
