Beschreibung:
12 Gauge; Good bore, fair stock, 26.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Belgium circa 1880s. Original browned Damascus barrels, casehardened frame and lockplates, mounted in checkered walnut. The barrels have fine gold inlay on the top, the right J.B. RONGE FILS A LIEGE and the left DAMAS CROLLI FIN, and on top of the rib FUSIL PLUME. The frame and lockplates are finely engraved, the lockplates with dove scenes. The frame features a Greener style crossbolt. The right hammer is a replacement. 2 1/2 inch chambers, the chokes guage Full and Improved Cylinder, and the barrel have been shortened to length. The forearm ahs a bone tip and the stock has the orignal serrated bone buttplate. The finish on the barrels has thinned and shows some light spotting. The right barrel has two shallow dents, one on the side and the other on the top. The left barrel has a small split on top approximately 7.5 inches from the muzzle. The frame and lockplates have turned gray with some spotting. The wood shows its age with smoothed checkering. There is an old chip at the toe of the stock and buttplate. The forearm has a repair to a split on the right side along the top edge and sliver of wood missing on the left side upper edge. The actions work fine and barrel lockup is good. The bores have been greased, some light pitting visible. The break lever needs some assist in closing. SOLD AS IS for parts or display. Antique., s/n 272xx
