| 12 Gauge; good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in England c.1880's. Browned finish Damascus barrels with 2 5/8" chambers and Full chokes. Casehardened frame and locks, aged mostly gray. Checkered walnut stock. Straight grip with checkered horn buttplate. Latch release forearm with ebony tip. Scroll and game scene engraved frame and lockplates, both locks marked "T. BLAND & SONS". Matted concave barrel rib is marked "T. BLAND & SONS. 41, 42, & 43 WHITTALL ST. BIRMINGHAM". Dollshead extension and brass bead sight. Unmarked inlaid silver oval on the bottom of the stock. Finish has thinned on the barrels. Tiny dent on the side of the left barrel 6" from the muzzle. Both actions function fine, a bit stiff. Barrel lockup is good. Antique, s/n 214xx |
