| 54 Caliber; excellent bore, excellent stock, 46'' barrel, Made by the well known rifle maker Chuck Edwards of Missouri, this rifle has a unique aged look with a 46 inch rifled and swamped octagonal barrel having dovetailed fixed sights. Iron mounted maple stock. Patchbox contains two extra flints. Moderate engraving and carving work. Not exactly a "poor boy" rifle but not overdone on the décor. Previous owners intials NM engraved on silver semi-inlaid disc on top of the wrist. Bright clean bore. However, the lock needs work, the cock is not holding. Triggers function and adjust fine. |
