| 31 Cal; 10% blue, good bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1856. Traces of original blued finish, casehardened frame, brass trigger guard and backstrap with 30% silver plate finish remaining, original walnut grip with 85% of the original varnish finish remaining. Matching serial numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap and cylinder. Barrel wedge is not matching. 5-shot cylinder with 80% of the stagecoach scene. Top of barrel marked with the Colt's address in two lines. Left side of frame marked "COLT'S/PATENT". All original parts. The metal has scattered areas of surface rust and pitting, most minor. Some pitting on hammer. The action does not function properly, worn cylinder hand and hammer will only hold back occasionally on one notch. Antique, s/n 1255xx |
