| 44 Caliber; fair bore, fair grips, 8'' barrel, Manufactured in 1863. Old nickeled finish over some light pitting. Brass trigger guard. Walnut grip. Matching serial numbers including the wedge. Markings remain clear and legible, cylinder retains 80% of the naval battle scene. Frame cut for stock with notched backstrap. Single line Colt's New York address on top of the barrel. Colt's/Patent stamped on the left side of the frame. Grip has shrunk a bit, right side with crack at the upper portion, left side with small chips at the toe and upper low corner. Action need work, hammer doesn't hold back. Wedge screw is a vintage replacement. Antique, s/n 1392xx |
