| 38 CF; good bore, good grips, 7.5'' barrel, Manufactured mid 1870s. Original blue finish barrel and cylinder have turned an even patina over all. Casehardened frame with visible case color remaining. Nickel plated brass trigger guard and backstrap with only traces of the nickel remaining. Original walnut grip. Matching serial numbers. Marked on top of the barrel with a single line Colt's address. The left side of the frame is stamped "COLTS/PATENT" which is over stamped with patent dates 1871 and 1872 in two lines. Cylinder scene visible but faint. Mechanically fine and tight. Antique, s/n 45xx |
