| 36 Caliber; fair bore, good grips, 5.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1863. Mostly gray gun with trace original blued finish. Casehardened frame, mostly gray. Some pitting on the cylinder chambers and spotting overall. Brass trigger guard and backstrap. Walnut grip. Matching serial numbers except the barrel, which is numbered 1458. Clear markings, single line Colt's address on top of the barrel, Colt's Patent on the left side of the frame and caliber designation "36 CAL" on the left side of the trigger guard. The action functions fine. The bore has shone and strong rifling, spots of corrosion and pitting. Mainly only traces of varnish remain on the grip. Antique, s/n 230xx |
