| 38 Long Colt; 95% blue, good bore, very good grips, 3'' barrel, Rare 3 inch barrel Colt Navy model commercial production DA revolver, manufactured in 1890, with blued finish and checkered hard rubber grips. Fixed sights. Matching assembly numbers on barrel and cylinder. Top of barrel is marked with the Colt's address and patent dates 1884, 1900 and 1905 in two lines, indicating a rebarrel at some point, likely by the factory where it may have also received a refinish. Used, the metal finish shows some minor-light sharp edge wear and a couple tiny spots of minor pitts on the right side lower front edge of the frame. The front sight blade has a tiny bend at the tip of the top edge. Mechanically fine, smooth action with good cylinder lockup. Antique, s/n 96xx |
