| 44 Caliber; fair bore, fair grips, 7.5'' barrel, Parts assembly. Original frame, cylinder, barrel and walnut grip. Majority of other parts are reproduction. No visible cylinder scene, serial number 12440 with a small H is visible. Hammer screw and trigger guard screws are newer replacements. Loading lever assebly is reproduction. Part round barrel marked on top "-ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY-", rear sight blade over CITY. Left frame marked "COLTS/PATENT/U.S.". Frame has some pitting. The bottom of the frame has been filed with the matching number to the cylinder stamped, same on the end of the trigger guard. Action needs work. The barrel wedge is an original part, mis-matched, with the head chipped off. Barrel fits loose. Grips are worn with some chipping at corners. Antique. Comes in a Colt wooden display box with repro brass powder flask, bullet mold, cap tin and several various screws., s/n 124xx |
