| 44-40 WCF; good bore, fair grips, 5 1/2'' barrel, Manufactured in 1895. Thinned and faded original blued finish. Color case hardened frame has mostly silvered with trace case color at protected areas. Original hard rubber grips have worn down checkering but no damage. The right panel has 3 old notches carved into the upper back edge. Serial numbers match and are original. Barrel is roll stamped on the left side "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". The top of the barrel is stamped with the Colt's address in a single line. Areas of minor-light pitting scattered externally on the gun. Markings are original and strong. Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition, crisp action, in time. Bore is bright, spots of rather light corrosion in the bore and cylinder chambers. Includes a vintage H.H.Heiser flower tooled holster and belt, marked for size 36-38 with 12 cartridge loops in good condition., s/n 1607xx |
