| 45 ACP; very good bore, good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1945. Parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips with large screw hole rings. GHD inspector mark and P firing proof on the left side of the grip frame. Two-line two-block patent dates and Colt's address flanking the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide. Right frame extension is stamped "M1911A1 U.S. ARMY", "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number stamped mid-frame. Ordnance wheel escutcheon behing the grip. MS Little magazine, block L marked on top of the base lip. Appears to be parts correct, blued finish barrel marked on the lower left chamber "COLT 45 AUTO" with P proof on the lug. Narrow spur checkered hammer. Serrated slide stop. 7 rib arched mainspring housing. Metal finish is showing sharp edge wear with heavier edge wear at the front of the frame extension. Grips shows some handling and lower edge wear. Left panel has a minor old chip at the top edge., s/n 22905xx |
