| 45 ACP; 99% parkerized, excellent bore, excellent grips, 5'' barrel, The left side of the slide is stamped ITHACA GUN CO INC. / ITHACA NY and the right side has M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY and the frame has UNITED STATES PROPERTY M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY /911361. This is one of last pistols that was made without the in-house factory insp. Symbols on the left trigger guard. It is also very unusual and more desirable as it was factory assembled with an M1911 A1 U.S. ARMY marked replacement slides several pistols were known to have been so made in this serial number range as noted by both Meadows and Clawson. It is desirable due to the fact is was manufacture, with a replacement slide and is one of the last of the pistols made prior to the adoption of additional quality control insp., s/n 9113xx |
