| 22 Short; fair bore, good grips, 2.25'' barrel, First year production, 1871. Very rare B. Kittredge & Co sale with flat sided barrel etched on the left side "PRIMA DONNA". Kittredge & Co was a major retailer and agent for many firearms manufacturers from 1845-1900. And often had firearms specially made and/or embellished for their business. Nickel plated finish with polished bone grips. Short fluted 7-shot cylinder with spur trigger. Matching numbers. Marked on top of the barrel "COLT'S PT FA MFG CO / HARTFORD CT USA". Caliber marking "22 CAL" on the left side of the frame. Overall condition is fine. Some flaking of the plated finish, with light scratches and small dings from handling. Mechanically fine. Chambers and bore have some corrosion. Antique., s/n 7xx |
