| 38 Centerfire; fair bore, very good grips, 6'' barrel, Manufactured 1882-1886. From the collection of Robert Q. Sutherland and pictured in R.L. Wilson's "The Book of Colt Firearms" on page 311 of the first volume. The book mentions shipment in 1890 to H&D Folsom Arms Co. of New York. Original factory nickel finish and checkered hard rubber grips with the "cop and thug" motif on each side. 5-shot fluted cylinder. Serrated spur trigger. Checkered hammer. Colt's address in two lines on top of the round barrel. Revolver retains 98% nickel finish, showing scattered light handling scratches. Action functions fine. Bore has some pitting. Antique., s/n 171xx |
