| 44-40 WCF; fair bore, fair grips, 4 3/4'' barrel, Made in 1879.. Heavily worn metal finish with scattered light pitting and several dings from mishandling over the years. Walnut grip with old bolt and nut added to secure. Circle cutout on left side with dots?. No barrel markings are legible, holstering wear around the muzzle. Left frame has barely visible patent dates. Legible caliber mark "44CF" on left trigger guard. Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Actions needs attention, hammer won't hold. Firing pin has had the tip ground down. Heavy drag mark around the cylinder. Antique, s/n 519xx |
