| 40 caliber; fair bore, good grips, 3'' barrel, Percussion pepperbox pistol manufactured c.1850's, engraved on the left side of the frame "J R COOPER'S / PATENT". 6-shot double action mechanism. Plain walnut grips. British proofed on each barrel rib. Traces of blue finish on the ribs, otherwise the metal has aged to a smooth light gray patina. There are some small spots of pitting on the barrels. Mechanically in fine condition. The bores show some rusting. Antique |
