| 42 Caliber; 80% blue, good bore, very good grips, 6.25'' barrel, Solid frame double action only percussion revolver manufactured c.1850 in England by Deane & Son of London. Bright blued finish with checkered walnut one piece grip. Engraved on top of the frame and barrel "DEANE, ADAMS & DEANE. 30. KING WILLIAM ST. LONDON BRIDGE". Standard British black powder proofing. The right side of the frame is marked "ADAMS PATENT NO.9402R". Dovetailed beaded blade front sight. Frame mounted finely dovetailed rear V notch sight. Bright finished hammer. Metal finish shows some edge wear with scattered spotting, most on the right side of the barrel and frame. Cylinder has lost most of its finish. Mechanically in fine condition. In the original lockable wooden storage case with green felt lined compartmentalized interior. Includes key. Accessories include a contemporary Dixon & Sons Sheffield copper and brass flask with adjustable spout. Vintage F.Joyce percussion cap tin, empty. Plated brass oiler. Eley Bros cardboard opened box for wadded bullets, empty. Wooden cleaning rod with jag tip. Brass R. Adms marked bullet mold. The case shows age with wear and small cracks but is in overall good condition with a full Deane & Son label under the lid. Antique, s/n 94xxR |
