| 30 Luger; 98% blue, 87% straw, excellent bore, excellent grips, 4.75'' barrel, A very exceptional and rare DWM 1900 Luger presentation pistol. Gold inlaid initials SD (or DS) over the chamber, unfortunately the identity of the original recipient of this pistol has been lost in the over 100 years since it was produced. This is the standard early pistol with wide trigger guard, dished toggles, wide grip safety and long checkered 1st type safety lever. The pistol has all matching serial numbers on the parts which should be numbered, including the checkered walnut grip panels. Interestingly the pistol has none of the usual proofing. The DWM monogram is located on the center toggle. Original strawed finish on the small parts is strong with some faded spots. The fire blued finish on the pins and grip screws has faded with trace finish remaining only. The original rust blued finish is even and bright overall, showing mainly only sharp edge wear, with very few minor handling marks/scratches. Grips are overall excellent with minor wear to some points on the checkering. The pistol is clean internally showing very minor cycling with a bright sharp bore. Original unmarked wood bottom magazine in very good conditon, some dark spotting on the body., s/n 33xx, Catalog Number OK-04 |
