| .450; fair bore, good grips, 6 1/8'' barrel, Manufactured in France circa 1880. No metal finish remains, gray patina. Fitted with plain walnut grips. Single action with a 6-shot cylinder. Stamped on top of the barrel "E. LEFAUCHEUX Brte S.G.D.G. A PARIS". The right side of the barrel flat is stamped with triple crowns. The metal shows signs of some cleaning here and there, with the back grip strap showing some filing with a repair at the top. The loading gate appears to be a well made replacement. Complete, the action works fine however the cylinder does not index as it should. A small screw is missing on the right side of the frame and the heads on the screws on the left side of the frame show some damage. Antique., s/n 799xx |
