| 16 Gauge; fair bore, good stock, 29 7/8'' barrel, Manufactured in England circa 1880s. Damascus barrel, casehardened frame and lockplates, mounted in checkered walnut with a nicely grained stock. 2 1/2 inch chambers with both chokes gauging Cylinder, the barrel having been shortened to length. Smooth concave barrel rib marked "FIELD LONDON". Black powder proofing. The finish on the barrels has worn gray with dark spotting and some surface rusting. Fading case color on the frame. Roound knob grip stock with a 14.25 inch LOP. One hammer is a replacement, missing the buttplate, stock is not cut and the barrel rib is slightly separated on the bottom near the sling swivel. There is a tight 2 iinch crack on the left side of the butt. The actions work fine. There is some side to side barrel play in lockup. The bores have pitting. Antique, |
