| 12 Gauge; 70% blue, fair bore, good stock, 29.5'' barrel, Made by the G.L. Rasch firm of Braunschweig under ownership of Ferdinand Rasch, dated February 1907. Blued finish sheel barrels with 2 5/8" chambers, Full/Modified chokes. Double underlugs with extractor, coarse cross matted concave rib, missing a front bead, with damaged center bead. Scalloped boxlock action with side clipsf, crossbolt and top mounted cocking indicators. Fully relief engraved with floral and game scenes, scaled bolsters. Double triggers with ornate trigger guard with horn grip. Checkered walnut stock with cheekrest, crosshatches and dot engraved steel buttplate. 14 3/8' length of pull. Splinter forend with latch release, missing a horn or ebony tip. Gold inlay double line borders at the barrels breech and safety mark on the tang. Gun shows its age with thinning and spotting finish on the barrels. Right barrel has a small dent on top 9" from the muzzle. Forend has worn checkering. Stock has small cracks on each flat behind the frame. End of the butt has some grain splitting, mostly minor. The tip of the horn grip has a chip. The action functions well with good snug lockup. Auto safety reset functions fine. Import marked. |
