| 50 Caliber; very good+ bore, fair stock, 22.25'' barrel, Standard model. Patchy patina metal. Dark mottled casehardened frame. Walnut stock has been sanded long ago with a previous owners initials cared onto the left side of the butt. Old repaired crack on the right side of the stock between the lockplate and upper tang. Iron patchbox on the right side of the butt. Round barrel with fixed front and two range fold down rear sight. Lockplate is stamped "MANUFACTD BY/RICHARDSON & OVERMAN/PHILAD" over the serial number, and "GALLAGER'S PATENT/JULY 17TH, 1860". Barrel has scattered areas of light-moderate pitting. Some fairly light pitting around the bolster on the frame, and some pitting on the patchbox. The action and lever function fine and the bore is bright and strong. Antique., s/n 157xx |
