| excellent grips, HERE IS A NICE ORIGINAL NAZI FIREMAN'S (S QUILLON) DRESS BAYONET AND SCABBARD. IT HAS A CHECKERED BLACK GRIP, HELD TOGETHER BY DOUBLE RIVETS AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE IS THE ORIGINAL PLATING ON THE EAGLE HEAD POMMEL, WITH A SOLID BACKSTRAP. THIS IS THE VARIETY WITH A SOLID BACK AND NO BACK GROOVE. THE "S" SHAPED QUILLON IS WHAT DESIGNATES THIS BAYONET AS A FIREMAN'S BAYONET. IT HAS A THIN LEATHER WASHER. THE BLADE IS VERY NICE AND BRIGHT. THE RICASSO IS MARKED "L&W / H INSIDE OF A CIRCLE". THE BLADE IS 9 3/4" LONG WITH AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 16". IT HAS A MATCHING ORIGINAL BLACK SCABBARD. THE BAYONET AND SCABBARD ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THIS IS A GREAT ORIGINAL EDGED WEAPON. |
