| 16 Ga/8x57JR; 85% blue, fair bore, good stock, 27 1/8'' barrel, Manufactured in Germany circa 1925. Blue finish barrels, casehardened frame with game scene relief engraving, and mounted in checkered walnut. 2 9/16 inch shotgun chambers with Full and Modified chokes. Features a boxlock action with a Greener style crossbolt and top mounted cocking indicators, extractors, front set double triggers, Greener style side safety, latch release forearm and a full grip stock with cheekrest and cartridge compartment on the bottom. 14 inch LOP. The barrels have an old reblued finish over some light pitting located on the right barrel near the muzzle. The frame has turned mostly gray with traces of case color. The wood shows some wear and handling with small dings overall. The barrels are fitted with double claw mounts with a Dr. W. Gerard 2.5X scope mounted. The scope has a heavy pointer/fine crosshair reticle with good optics. Mechanically, the right action will not cock. Barrel lockup is tight. The shotgun bores have some pitting throughout the rifle bore has strong rifling showing frost throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 41xx |
