| good grips, 6'' barrel, WWII German Luftwaffe Kampfmesser Boot Knife, Eagle 6 An original WWII German Luftwaffe Luftwaffen- Kampfmesser Boot Knife & Scabbard. These knives were carried in the boots of Luftwaffe pilots and Air crew (see page 78 of German Combat knives 1914-1945 By Mery). The knife has a 16.9 cm blade and an overall length of 28cm. The grips have been replaced with an amber colored plastic with a Swastika on a red shield and secured to the tang by three rivets. The Ricasso is stamped with the correct stylized Eagle 6 'Luftwaffe' mark. Its original scabbard is metal with original black paint. It has the correct two prong metal belt/boot clip riveted to the rear. The blade is in excellent condition, and it has an Eagle 6 Insp mark. The scabbard has scattered patina. |
