| Weimar period navy issue bayonet with original blue finish, fitted with bakelite gripss. Marked on the ricasso W.u.K (Weyersberg Kirschbaum 1927-1930) and on the top edge of the blade with an M/anchor over 27 and with a droopwing eagle/61 proof. The right side of the guard and left side of the pommel are stamped with a droopwing eagle/46 proof. The left side of the guard is stamped with a navy property number, script N1485b (North Sea). The bayonet retains approximately 85% original blue overall. The handles are excellent and the flash guard has no major damage. The scabbard is probably a replacement, with black enamel finish, and is not marked., |
