| 8mm Mauser; 75% blue, good bore, good stock, 29'' barrel, Originally a Waffenfabrik Mauser manufactured GEW 98 rifle dated 1917, reworked in the late 1930s with the upgraded rear sight, refurbished blue metal finish, mounted in the original walnut stock. All numbered parts are matching. Standard Imperial proofs and military acceptance marks. The right side of the rear sight base is stamped with two droop eagle/63 proofs and S/42G. The left side of the barrel chamber is stamped with three droop eagle/WaA214 proofs. Original cleaning rod present. Mechanically fine. The bore shows strong rifling and has a tight muzzle. There is quite a bit of dried storage grease inside the bore. C&R/FFL, s/n 92xxb |
