| 54 Cal; fair bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Marked on the center of the lock "U.S./H.. ASTON & CO" and vertically at the rear of the lock "MIDDTN/CONN./1851". Round barrel with brass front sight blade. Brass mounted walnut stock with visible inspector cartouches on the left side flat. The metal has turned mostly gray, with some spotting on the barrel. There is a small crack on the left side of the stock between the tie plate and barrel. The lock functions well. Antique, |
