THE BLUING ON THE OCTAGON BARREI WAS PAINTED OVER AT SOME POINT LEAVING A SPOTTY FINISH. THE BORE HAS VISIBLE RIFLING WITH CORROSION THROUGHOUT. THE BARREL HAS A PATENT DATE JUNE 22, 1885 FOLLOWED BY THE CALIBER 32 RF.THE BUTTSTOCK IS HEAVILY WORN BUT SOLID WITH A BROKEN BUTTPLATE. THE FOREARM HAS A 4" SLIVE OUT OF THE RIGHT SIDE. THE ACTION IS FUNCTIONAL. |
