| 16 Gauge; poor bore, fair stock, 29.5'' barrel, Manufactured c.1885. Browned damascus barrels, casehardened frame and lockplates, walnut stock with checkered round knob grip. 2 9/16" chambers with Full and Open chokes. Simple English scroll and game scene engraving on frame and lockplates. Concave smooth barrel rib with brass bead sight. 14" LOP with serrted hard rubber buttplate. Metal has turned mixed light patina overall with some spotting. Left barrel has a large dent on the side 9.5" from the mjuzzle. Stock has a large chip on the heel and the buttplate is broken with a section missing. Actions function fine, barrel lockup is good. Bores have corrosion and pitting throughout. Antique., s/n 150xx |
