| 45 ACP; very good+ bore, very good grips, 5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1944. Original parkerized finish, checkered plastic Keyes grips with strengthening ribs on the back and without rings around the screws. Stamped on the left side of the slide with the proper logo "ITHACA GUN CO. INC. / ITHACA, N.Y.". Stamped on the right side of the frame "UNTIED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number, and "M 1911 A1 U.S.ARMY" in front of the slide stop hole. The ordnance wheel escutcheon is located on the right side of the frame behind the grip panel. The left side of the frame is stamped with the FJA inspector marking of Frank J Atwood. The P firing proof is stamped below the magazine catch. Blued finish Flanery "F" marked barrel with P proof on the left side of the lug. Proper grooved slide stop and safety. Proper mainspring housing with 7 ribs. The hammer is not proper, being a Colt wide spur variation. Parkerized magazine, Risdon manufacture, R marked on top of the base lip. The metal finish shows some edge and cycling wear, finish rubs and scratches on the left side of the frame. The bore is bright with strong rifling., s/n 18475xx |
