| 6.5mm Jap; 80% blue, fair bore, good stock, 30.5'' barrel, Manufactured in Italy for Japan circa 1938-1939. Carcano type action with internal 5 round magazine. Original blue finish, wood stock with two piece butt. Unmarked except for the serial number which is common for this variation. Missing the cleaning rod. The left side of the butt has a metal strip attached with the name of the GI that captured the rifle "J. BALE S1/C. 2ND DIV.". The metal finish is beginning to brown, with scattered minor surface rusting and some rust spotting on the receiver and magazine florrplate. Two piece butt has a separation at the joint. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, dark and frosted throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n C59xx |
