THE CHECKERED WALNUT BUTTSTOCK IS SOLID SHOWING LIGHT STORAGE AND HANDLING MARKS WITH A BRASS TAG INLETTED INTO THE UNDERSIDE INSCRIBED WITH THE INITIAL "P.W.F.".
