| 8mm Mauser; 98% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Waffen Werke Brunn manufacture, dated 1944. Original blued finish, laminated stock and handguard. Numbered parts are matching including the stock and handguard numbered inside the barrel channel. Stamped on top of the receiver ring with an eagle/WaAA80 proof over the code "dou" and date code "44". Stamped on top of the barrel chamber with two eagle/A80 proofs. An eagle/swaz military acceptance mark appears on the left side of the barrel. The right side of the stock butt is faintly marked with a Heer eagle/H proof. Original front sight hood and cleaning rod. Stamped steel bands. Stamped steel trigger guard marked with a "qnw" code. Milled floorplate. Cupped buttplate marked with a "brg" code. The stock is raw and appears to have been very light sanded at some point. There are laminate tight stress cracks on the bottom of the forend tip and one behind the receiver tang. Mechanicallly fine. No import marks. Includes an original rubber muzzle cover. C&R/FFL, s/n 66xxhh |
