| 8mm Mauser; 95% blue, fair bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Kriegsmodel K98 Waffen Werke Brunn Bystrica manufacture. Original blued finish with some phosphate finished parts and bolt, laminated wood stock and handguard. Matching bolt. Other parts are not numbered. Original front sight hood, leather sling with L&F marked buckle. Stamped steel screw kept bands, stamped steel trigger guard. Milled floorplate with phosphate finish. No provision for a cleaning rod with screw in end of forend cap. Stock is unmarked. Top of receiver ring is stamped "Mod.98" and with the code "dou.45". Top of barrel chamber stamped with two eagle/A80 proofs, top of receiver ring with an eagle/WaAA80 proof. Eagle/swaz military acceptance marked on left side of barrel and receiver and on bolt handle shank. The stock has stress separations of the laminate on both sides at the recoil lug and a tight separation on the right side along the receiver bridge. The bore shows some wear and corrosion throughout. Bolt face is good with some minor pitting around the firing pin hole. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 69xxe |
