| 8mm Mauser; 90% blue, good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured by Mauser Oberndorf in 1934. Original blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. Matching serial numbers including the front trigger guard action screw, rear screw is not marked, stock and handguard numbered inside the barrel channel. Original cleaning rod, not numbered. Leather sling appears to be a high quality reproduction, unmarked. Stamped on top of the receiver ring with the code "S/42K". The right side of the receiver ring is marked with three P/74 proofs, three more appear on the right side of the rear sight sleeve. A small P/74 proof is locatedon the left side of the barrel. Droop eagle military acceptance marks on left side of barrel and receiver ring. Most parts are marked with P/74 proofs. The upper band is K/155 proofed. The bolt is O/37 proofed over a scriptic S on the handle shank. The right side of the stock butt is marked with a droop eagle acceptance mark, S/91 proof and P/74 proof. The bottom of the stock has a droop eagle and scriptic S behind the trigger guard. A droop eagle and backwards gothic S on front of the grip, and a half stamped droop eagle low on the bottom. There is an oval wood inlay on the bottom of the stocks butt. The metal has areas of some browning however has even finish overall. The bore has strong rifling, showing frost and light corrosion throughout. Includes an original nazi proofed front sight/muzzle cover with hinged cap. Mechanically fine. No import markings. C&R/FFL, s/n 16xx |
