| 8mm Mauser; 75% blue, very good bore, good stock, 23.5'' barrel, Manufactured by Gustloff Werke in 1944. Original blue finish, mounted in a laminated wood stock and handguard. Matching bolt (and components), upper stamped band and stamped floorplate. The remainder of parts are not numbered. The stock is not numbered, the handguard is numbered and non-matching. Eagle/749 proof on top of the receiver ring. Eagle/18 proofs on the right side of the rear sight base. Eagle/214 proof on the trigger guard. Missing the cleaning rod and front trigger guard lock screw. The metal finish shows wear with some light surface spotting, and surface rust on the cupped buttplate. The stock has stress splits around the butt, and the retaining pin thru the tip of the forend for the bayonet lug is missing. Mechanically fine, The bore has shine and strong sharp rifling, having a few scatttered spots of rust. No import marks. C&R/FFL, s/n 75xxi |
