| 303 British; fair bore, fair stock, 25.25'' barrel, BSA Co 1939 dated SMLE rifle, once part of an Iraqi acquisition having the triangle/S marking stamped on top of the receiver and barrel knox. No matching parts, and the safety assembly nd several screws are new replacements. Beech stock and upper handguard, walnut lower handguard, walnut butt with typical heel patch repair. DP mark is stamped on the butt, lower handguard, bottom of the forend and on the rear sight protector. Mix of parts assembly. No import markings found. Worn metal finish, mostly bright. Bore is dark with rusting throughout, some rifling life left. Includes a firing pin removal tool and a nice 1944 dated khaki web sling., s/n L482xx |
