| 30 Borchardt; 87% blue, excellent bore, good grips, 7.5'' barrel, Manufactured by Ludwig Loewe c.1896. Original blued finish, with fire blued and strawed small parts, checkered walnut grips. Matching serial numbers. Original magazine. Crown/B, U and G proofs located on the left sides of the barrel, breechbolt and receiver. The top of the chamber is stamped "WAFFENFABRIK / LOEWE / BERLIN". Top of the center toggle link stamped "D.R.P. / No. 75837". Right side of the receiver stamped "SYSTEM BORCHARDT. PATENT.". Fire blue finish on small parts is thinning but generous. Fading straw color on the sear assembly. Metal finish overall shows edge with with thinning on the grip straps and scattered areas of light corrosion. Mainly on the rails and in spots on the toggle housing. Scattered light scratches. Markings are crisp and clear. The front sight is a Lyman beaded blade. Mechanically in fine condition with a bright clean bore. Antique., s/n 8xx |
